How We Help Schools
We believe that education on eating disorders and mental health at school age could be critical for early detection or even prevention. By informing our young minds about the impact of eating disorders, we hope that it may highlight to them that their thinking isn’t normal or help them notice certain behaviours in their friends, thereby getting help sooner and increasing the chance of recovery by a considerable amount.
These interactive workshops, available for school children aged between 8 and 18 – aim to identify the different types of eating disorders, where to go should they be concerned about either their own thoughts or that of a friend and what would happen when they did. It is delivered in an open non-judgemental way, with time for questions, by trainers who have found recovery from their own eating disorders.
