Training & Workshops

Eating Disorder Awareness Workshops

30-50% of young people engage in disordered eating behaviours. Up to 1 in 10 may have a clinically significant eating disorder. Our workshops are small group sessions designed to help raise awareness of eating disorders and promote early intervention and recovery. Each workshop is led by volunteers who are in recovery themselves and aims to provide a safe space to learn, ask questions and get support. We offer workshops online so they are accessible to young people anywhere in the country, but we also offer in person workshops within our Surrey/Hampshire catchment area.

We also offer awareness workshops for parents, which aim to equip them with the information needed to identify potential difficulties in their children, or even themselves. We provide advice around talking to young people about eating disorders and how to support them to get help.

Finally, we offer these workshops to professionals. These 1 hour training sessions will help professionals understand more about eating disorders and how we can all play our part in helping those struggling. As with all our workshops, there will be ample time to ask questions and plenty of interactive discussion.

All of these workshops are FREE to access. For full details about upcoming workshops visit www.fieldofgrace365.wixsite.com/workshops. To book get in touch through the website booking form or via email – fieldofgracesurrey@gmail.com. We can’t wait to welcome you!

Support for Secondary Schools

We can bring our workshops into your school and offer face to face support for students, parents and staff. We can also advise on how to promote eating disorder awareness within your school, or how you can support a student who is in recovery to continue to access their education. To discuss how we might be able to work with your school please go to the contact us page and get in touch.

Bespoke Staff Training & Support

Not only do we offer our eating disorder awareness workshops to all professionals who are interested, we can also work with teams and organisations to provide tailored training to meet your needs. We are happy to consult on projects, work alongside staff supporting a sufferer or provide team training opportunities. Whatever you need, we would love to discuss how we can support you in your work – get in touch today via phone or email and we will arrange a time to meet with you.
